Microsoft new Surface Tablet

Surface Tablet is going to hit the market fast and furious.  Microsoft is planning to go head to head with Apple.  The question is what is known about the about the Surface Tablet?!  For starters it is running on Windows 8.  Surface for Windows 8 PRO will be three months behind the initial release.

One thing that is known is that the Microsoft has put a lot of brain power into the physical design of the Surface Tablet.  The tablet has a magnesium chassis that has a soft coating that is chemically bonded instead of painted on giving it a durable, expensive feel.  The Surface table has a high definition display. The sleek black glass with the Windows logo gives the Surface Tablet a cutting edge look and feel.  Of course, just like your Apple iPod or iPad the Surface Tablet can be viewed horizontally or vertically with a horizontal screen size of 10.6 inches.

Adapting to the Surface Tablet will not be hard with whole bezel being touch-aware and the Window’s logo is also a start button with a tap.  The Tablet also comes with a built-in stand and two rubber feet to make the Surface Tablet very sure footed.  Again, confirming that Microsoft has put a lot of attention to detail and customer usability.

Ports as with all tablets today is limited on the Surface Tablet:

  • 1 magnetic keyboard connector
  • Top is a power button
  • A speaker on each side
  • Dual microphones
  • MicroSD
  • USB 2.0 port ( USB 3.0 for the Surface PRO)
